Emergency Carer’s Support

I have just heard from a friend at the Banbury Carers Centre that OCC [Oxford City Council] have set up a 4e Emergency Carer’s Support Service. It is available to all adult carers throughout Oxon. If anyone would like to register ring 01865 374430 or email oxfordilsenquiries@a4e.co.uk

The lady was out yesterday to complete the form & even though we live in Northampton & have a Oxon postcode they will cover us. She said they also cover RG postcodes.

Council Tax

I saw recently that if you are disabled you can apply to get the council to reduce your council tax by one band. I applied, the lady came out & my tax was reduced back to 2002!! She said 9 out of 10 were allowed if there were ramps, grap rails or handles. Worth knowing about.
